This track was recorded as a challenge to myself after suffering a severe spiral fracture to the humerus bone of my left (and predominant) arm. With no exaggeration, I fell through the crawlspace in the attic down to the second floor of my house. Narrowly avoiding a continuous journey down the flight of stairs beneath somehow! After a few weeks of painful recovery, helped along with the assistance of handfuls of pain relievers, I could start mulling around the house enough to try and accomplish simple tasks by myself and (to my partner's cautious yet optimistic relief) be left alone to my own devices (to a point). Still cannot play guitar, bass or drums. So I settled on an old dusty drum machine, some keys and a few outboard noise-makers for bells & whistles. All played with my mostly useless right hand. (even as I type this, I am stuck using only this damned shaky right hand) The music itself is all a little shaky at times too...but so is most of the music I put out, even when all of my limbs are working to full capacity. Hey, if you can't make fun of yourself...amirite? Please enjoy the harrowing, true story of the incredible falling man, his apologies/gratitude to wife and business associates, friends and family who are helping him on his way toward recovery.
